Windows 10 3x trying to get the pc and phone to show the same?

EDIT: the phone says Your Phone and your PC are linked. Now please read the rest and thank you! Also, when refreshing the PC app it says is can't connect to the phone. Yes, they are on the same network. Over the last couple of years I have tried using MS Your Phone. Well, it never has become mine yet. Something always seems to be griping about this program.On the PC it's not totally updating. The last messages are about 3 days old. And BTW isn't there anyway to archive or deleted old messages and conversations? If not why do they leave such basic things out such as that? On the Android I have
