Windows 7 Activating Window

Get advice on activating windows 7 for my old pc permanently without spend money. Every time it popup for activation and the screen goes dark. i am worried to loose my all research content. Please guide me step by step to activate window without spend money, because currently i don't have strength to spend, as i struggling to survive with my injured brain due to faced with major road accident. help me please step by step
