So come 2025, Windows 10 will no longer be supported and users will need to make the change to Windows 11. There's a glaringly obvious problem with this: Windows 11 doesn't support older hardware. Of course, the obvious solution to the problem is to simple acquire newer hardware. However there are myriad reason enthusiasts want to use older hardware: tinkerers, cheap HTPC, retro gamers etc. etc. All of those users will be forced over to Linux when they don't have access to a Windows offering compatible with their hardware.
