Hi -
So recently I logged into my computer and half of my desktop was empty. All of the folders, images, text files, etc. were gone and I am not sure how to get them back. I ran a virus check to see if that was the issue, but that was not the case. I also checked my computer for corrupted files and that also was a negative. As far as I know, only the files on my desktop are now gone. I was able to restore the folders and I tried to search for the text files I had, but so far I've come up with nothing. I have already searched for .txt files and exactly what I had named one file specifically. Now I am out of ideas. One thing that I noticed when I logged into my computer was that there was a new file labeled (live)something which my friend told me was an update file. It is now gone and I for sure haven't downloaded anything recently onto my computer. Is there a way I can restore everything to the way it was or at least find my notepad files?
