Windows 11 Are there any risks in Win11 when changing primary alias for MS/Outlook.com account?

I'd like to change my primary alias on my account. I've done this in the past but not since using Win11. Since I'm signed in with that account I'm mildly concerned switching aliases and disabling login for the one I've already logged in with might be a problem.Is this safe to do? Will Win11 just recognize the change and move on like nothing happened since it is all still the same account?
