specs:
windows 7 64 bit with newest nvida drivers,drect x 11,etc
asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0 motherboard
4.2 ghz amd vishera quad cpu
8gb 1800 mhz ran
gtx 970 oc 4gb video card
850 watt psu
2tb hitachi 6.0gbps sta drive 64 mb cache
antec kuhler 92mm cpu fan(cpu,hd an video card temps are all ok during these freeze ups an current defrag slowdown)

im having issues with some games i recently got battlefield 1 an grand theft auto 5(gta v) an now with my auslogic disk defragment an optize slowing more an more practically to a halut
i was able to play smooth awhile(sometimes hrs in battlefield 1 on low settings or less on higher or just a few minutes in gta v then things sklowed wayyy down to the point it would even frereze 5+ seconds an be like 2 fps with key presses respoinding seconds later.i ahvent seen these problems occur in lesser games like elder scolls legends card game or even killing floor 2 on max settings played for hours

ive diabled all running programs besides the games an evga precision x fan control an logitech mouse software

I First installed avast antivirus premium an ran full system scan, results ok
i also ran all the optize options,it seemed to lessen/get rid of the issues i had with internet explorer,it would give me repeated certificate pop ups an respond very slow on msn.com or crash an recover on many sites bt this seems to be better after the avast optimizations.(it can still happen on msn slideshow links but seems mostly better)

than ran dskchk overnight 14 hrs later gave me the results listed below

then ran auslogics quick defrag.then installed malwarebytes an ran full scan with 9 reults 2 being possible malware/adware.these were removed an did a restart

dx diag shows ok

SFC SCAN SHOWS ALL OK

still same issues in gta v an battlefield 1 on low settings or high

(cpu could have maxed maybe but not on low settings an wouldnt have ben causing freeze ups)

it appears my disk was reading an writing 100% so i suspect problem was disk or possible malware, tho ive only had windows 7 64 installed a few monthes

so more likely a disk issue.the other issue im having is disk defrag an optimize has now slowed an slowed even more over last night in auslogics disk defragment program.im nearly stuck at 64.77 percent.in 1st overnight it ran up to 60 percent but all day only got to 62 then overnight slowed even further an 16 hrs later thru that night an morning is now only at 64.77 % sometimes taking 30+ seconds to show a single file as optimzed(its at 280,000 of 563,000.tho most of these clusters its doing seem to just be steam games
disk was seemingly in pretty bad shape showing 77% fragmented now its at 56% midway thru this slowed down defrag

i wonder if this slowdown in defrag is the same type of thing happening in games, should i pause an see if theres a cluster thats just some stem games or something an not sys files an try to do a resrt after rebooting, maybe with some faster options then default ticked on a new defrag an optimize?would that be safe?at this rate itll never finish
btw dxdiag shows ok
im really stumped as to what the problem is

i also ran speedtest an my connection stays at a stable 2mbps down 2.5 up on a wired docsis 3.0 motorola modem(other online games ran ok like war thunder, star conflict thru a few matches) so im conviced online is not the prblem either, tho in battlefield when the problems begin i do see a fps an slo connection warning that goes frojm yellow ot red in both despite server being lowest possible ping of 37

so what else might i try?an ok to resrt defrag an see if that speeds back up?
