Windows 11 Battery dying when I close my laptop Windows 11

Whenever I close my Windows 11 computer it seemingly doesn't sleep and the battery depletes. When I open it it still asks me to sign in. I ran a diagnostic and it pinged something as wrong and fixed it, but about a week has gone by and it's back. I ran another diagnostic and it isn't fixing the problem this time.
