I started bitlocker encryption on two HDD drives. 2TB one finshed long time ago, but 500GB is still going and seems stuck (2 days now). It seems to be hanging on about 23%.
I also get a warning from a HDD monitoring (monitors SMART status). The smaller HDD (D
has some unstable sectors and read failures. The drive is accessible (I can navigate to it) but extremely slow.
Also the system is unstable and some programs do not open. Unfortunately I had a pagefile.sys on that D drive (which I assume might be related to system stability). But the pagefile seems to have been migrated to C automatically after reboot. System shows that pagefile is now on C, but the pagefile.sys is still on D drive.
I tried executing `manage-bde -pause D:` but it only shows Bitlocker Configuration Tool version info and hangs.
Any ideas how to brake this process of encryption? I tried going into safemode which makes the system more stable, but Bitlocker tools don't seem to work in safemode.
