Windows 11 Black screen on HP laptop after latest win 11 update

After logging in, all I get is a cursor. Ctl-alt-del brings up TM and I have tried all the solutions online and nothing works. It will not boot to Safe Mode, and Troubleshoot does not offer an uninstall option for the latest update.
