Windows 11 Bluetooth connection problem between new JBL Live Pro 2 earbuds and Surface Laptop 3 running latest Windows 11 (not recognized as audio device)

Hi, I just purchased the newest JBL Live PRO2 TWS earbuds that support BT version 5.2 but struggle to connect these to my new Surface Laptop 3. I have upgraded the Intel(R) Wireless BlueTooth(R) driver to the latest 22.150.0.6 and spent hours trying all kinds of solutions in other forums such as reinstalling drivers, running troubleshooter etc. but no luck. The funny thing is that the earbuds are immediately detected but not recognized as audio device. I see them listed under other BT devices as JBL LIVE PRO 2 TWS-LE and when I look in device manager it says the driver is 10.0.22000.856 dated
