Windows 10 Bluetooth headphone volume insanely low after setting DisableAbsoluteVolume DWORD to zero.

I had issues with the LR sound balance in my Bluetooth headphones (of no-name Chinese brand); therefore, I set the DisableAbsoluteVolume in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Bluetooth\Audio\AVRCP\CT to 1, in order to adjust the balance. It worked fine (it = balancing), but now, the output volume of my headphones at 100 is akin to volume at 20 under previous settings. Will there be any way to increase the output to earlier levels without setting the said DWORD back to 0?
