Windows 10 Bluetooth headphones unable to use microphone when connecting to Windows 10

so, when I connect my Bluetooth neckband to my laptop (hp omen) I only get audio playback(output). the audio input(microphone) does not work. when I go to Sounds option and try to change the device, I click on recording tab in Sounds the playback goes mute. now there are also two options in playback, one considers these headphones as headset and the other considers it as a headphone. when I change the playback to the other option the mic works. but now the playback audio turns to mono and audio quality are severely degraded. this is a big NO for me since I game on this system as well and we ca
