Windows 10 Boot failure on Windows 10

My Windows 10 system is failing to boot. At power up, after a long wait, the error message appears: "Detection error on SSD2". It offers the option of hitting esc to continue, which brings up the boot menu for alternate boot sites. It seems that there is a problem with the boot drive, SSD2. How do I repair this?
