Windows 11 Brand new Surface Laptop running 11 not recognizing external montiors

External monitor (hardwire) worked fine yesterday. Come today, Surface Laptop won't recognize any external monitors. This Lenovo external monitor continues to work perfectly with Mac laptop. Tried to force detection in settings and does not detect. Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver (mine is AMD Radeon) and nothing (no rollback option appears, probably because it's a brand new laptop). Ran all updates including looking for any optional updates... nothing. I even downloaded and reinstalled the driver directly from AMD... still nothing. Did MS kill my driver with a bad update?
