Windows 11 Brightness Slider Missing on Windows 11

I see there are others who have encountered this same issue. There appears to have been a Microsoft quality update done (I saw the update run on my PC on the 12th) and thereafter my monitor is dim and the Brightness Slider has disappeared. I have updated all drivers. Followed steps outlined in other forums...nothing is fixing it. I have a work laptop connected to the same monitor and the brightness is fine. The option to add the brightness slider is not provided in the Quick Action. Anyone else find this suspicious relative to the quality update? Anyone having had this issue found a way to re
