Windows 11 Brother scanner no longer working after Win 10 and Win 11 updates

I have a Brother duplex scanner (ADS-2700W) connected via ethernet that has worked fine for 5+ years scanning with Adobe Acrobat (Premier versions) 2015 and 2017. I've used both a Win 10 and Win 11 computer successfully.The Win 11 computer had a Windows update applied last week, and Acrobat 2017 now hangs when trying to scan using the TWAIN and WIA interfaces. It looks like it is starting to scan, but hangs. I need to terminate the app. I've re-booted numerous times, uninstalled the Windows device, I've uninstalled and re-installed the Brother drivers twice, including using their uninsta
