My old computer died due to a corrupt Windows file, and as it was an old laptop, I decided to upgrade anyway. I have some very important files on the old HDD, which I could transfer from it to the new pc via a SATA to USB reduction, but I am worried to plug it into the new laptop in case the corrupt Windows file does some damage to my new laptop's SSD. For reference, the old laptop was Win10, the new one is Win11.
