Windows 11 Can someone explain in detail what all USB wattage limits are? And what is low-power and high-power USB? How do I find the details of my own ports?

I’m looking to use an SSD over USB using an external adaptor, but I’m paranoid about the USB ports in my laptop not providing enough energy to sufficiently power it. I’ve read that USB 3.0-3.2 give 4.5 watts and USB C gives up to 15 watts, but some places say it’s up to 100 too. There’s also low-power and high-power USB which I’ve recently heard about, and I’m just wondering how all of this actually works. I don’t even know how to find the details about my own laptop’s ports. It’s very confusing. Can someone give me a simple and detailed explanation about all of this?
