Windows 11 Can windows file history be used with onedrive?

Hello. I currently have my computer set up to sync with my Microsoft OneDrive accounts with all files stored locally on my computer in addition to the cloud. I am also using File History to periodically "backup" computer folders to an external hard drive. I would like Windows File History to "backup" directories being synced to my OneDrive account. But I cannot figure out how to do this. Currently File History appears to only contain files that are not in my OneDrive account. Is it possible to use Windows file history with one drive? Thank you.
