Windows 11 Can you use a Windows 8.1 Pro Product Key to install Windows 11?

I bought a windows license in 2014 which I installed on a brand new PC and then upgraded for free to windows 10. I am now ready to retire my old PC and have built a new one. When I cked the Microsoft documentation, it said that as long as your license information is in your account that it should work. My account says that my Windows 10 Pro is activated via a digital license (based on microsoft documentation this is bc of the "free upgrade" to Windows 10.)
