Windows 11 Canon Pixma IP 4850 driver for Windows 11

Canon PIXMA IP4850 failed to install when I transferred to Windows 11 from Win 10. Apparently it's unsupported which is a damn disgrace as it would take no more than a few hours at most to write new driver code. As I was desperate to use the printer yesterday, I had to switch to my secondary boot device with windows 10 still on it. I'm pleased that I got things going but it's a nuisance if I have to reboot into another drive each time I need to print something. Thinking back, I seem to remember something about opening a device, or maybe it was just a programme. by choosing from the properties
