Windows 11 Can't Sign In to Microsoft Account on New PC

Hello, I've recently set up a new gaming PC for the first time and I am attempting to sign in to my Microsoft account. I navigate to the profile in the bottom left, I click on "change account settings", and I click on the blue link that says "sign in with a microsoft account instead". I enter my email and password (I have verified that these are both 100% correct) and I'm met with a vague message saying "oops something went wrong, try again later". I've received this message several times now, even after waiting some time between attempts.I have tried restarting the PC to see if that changes a
