Two day ago all audio had gone back to having enough clicks and pops to drive anyone crazy, weather on the HDMI Pioneer, Bluetooth or cabled speakers. Today it is perfect. Fortunately, for the first time, I have before and after capture from LatencyMon so it's easy to pick out the main differences.

Before - Windows 10, 10.0, version 2009, build: 19042 (x64)

Highest DPC routine execution time (µs): 19614.276826
Driver with highest DPC routine execution time: ndis.sys - Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS), Microsoft Corporation

Highest reported total DPC routine time (%): 0.368119
Driver with highest DPC total execution time: nvlddmkm.sys - NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 456.71 , NVIDIA Corporation

After - Windows 10, 10.0, version 2009, build: 19042 (x64):
Highest ISR routine execution time (µs): 96.666667
Driver with highest ISR routine execution time: dxgkrnl.sys - DirectX Graphics Kernel, Microsoft Corporation
Dhighest reported total ISR routine time (%): 0.167622
Driver with highest ISR total time: dxgkrnl.sys - DirectX Graphics Kernel, Microsoft Corporation

The only change to the system is this, installed 4/1:

March 29, 2021—KB5000842 (OS Builds 19041.906 and 19042.906) Preview

The last time this happened after months of trying everything under the sun except buying new hardware a fresh install of Windows fixed it, until recently.

Do you think I should dare to hope this update is all that's needed?

Thanks,

Chris
