Windows 11 Combining glyphs just doesn't work, for some reason.

Okay, so I have a custom font where if you type certain letters like a word, it SHOULD make one glyph.(Example, typing open turns into an open sign, but the letters o, p, e, and n don't do anything on their own) These "combined letters" as I'll call them from now on, simply don't show up. It's not like they're invisible either-- they just don't seem to combine and stay as an english word, rather than the glyph I'd like. This is the case for ALL of these combined glyphs.
