Windows 7 Computer stopped, numerous attempts - reloaded the original Windows 7 but will not open most websites. Attempting to update to 11

Our desktop computer went out last week. After numerous attempts we reloaded the original Windows 7 and now attempting to update to 11 because the internet will not open most websites. Any suggestions.
