I have a new MSI gaming laptop I got just a couple months ago. Ever since I've had it, I've never been able to use the volume/mic/brightness/etc control buttons at the top, and I don't know why. I assumed it would go away with an update, but it hasn't. I've made sure it's updated, I've checked settings. I'm not sure what else might be helpful. Also, I'm not sure if this is related, but whenever I plug/unplug it, the computer screen goes black for a second. My brother thinks he's techy and said it's no big deal, but I'm not sure.
