Windows 11 convert pics

have photos need converting....says "we dont support this file format".....has the blue pic of (I think) a mtn w/moon icon. the pics are .jpg but they wont open. this is under the new photo app or something, never had it before. tics me off I cant open pics or other stuff since MS changed some things.also, want to disable the OneDrive and get everything out of it - how do I do it?thanks for your IMMEDIATE HELP.
