As you can see from the screenshot, my Windows Security folder and its contents within the Group Policy Editor are corrupted/displaying in a strange font.
After freshly/cleanly installing Windows 10 Pro 1909 from an official Microsoft Windows Installation DVD on a new computer, the Group Policy Editor folders display correctly, though there is no Windows Security folder under Windows Components at this stage. As soon as all available updates are installed for Windows 10 1909 (I am not yet offered builds 2004 upwards), this corrupted folder appears in the GPE and persists after multiple restarts. This has happened twice now after fresh installs. I have been unable to find any information online about other people with this issue, which is why I’m seeking answers here. Please note no programs were installed on the system (after the fresh installation of Windows), so this would seem to be a purely Windows issue.
