Windows 10 D Drive locked; no key on my msoffice acct. to unlock. Should I reformat device & reinstall windows 10?

D Drive locked; no key on my msoffice acct. to unlock. Should I reformat device & reinstall windows 10? Is this easy to do or should I have tech do it?
