Windows 11 daylight savings will not adjust automatically for the central time zone (usa & canada)

Daylight savings will not automatically update with the time zone selction of Centra Time (USA & Canada). In order for my daylight savings to work, I must change my time zone setting to central america, but I'm not in Central America. Im in the midwest in the USA (central time zone). is this a glitch. I've seen no other discussions on this in my search for an explanation. thanks for all replies. Cheers !
