Windows 11 Defender and multiple user accounts

Hi!Does Microsoft Defender work on a device level or user account level? If I have a computer with 3 user accounts (associated with 3 separate email addresses), and only the administrator account has Defender, will Defender also protect the 2 other accounts on the same computer?Thanks!
