Help!
Several months ago Windows 10 did a major update, my Dell Venue 8 did not have enough internal storage to accommodate the update so I had to resort to removable media (thumb drive) in order for the update to download. During the update process the battery in the tablet died, when I tried to restart it after charging it would not boot into Windows at all, the screen said "Something Went Wrong" it directed me to re-insert the removable media (which was already in place), apparently, the thumb drive had also become corrupted, it would not even read in my desktop PC.
I created a fresh install on another thumb drive, I can get the tablet to boot off of the thumb drive with the Windows 10 installation files on it but it will not let me do a fresh install from there because the system was booted from the removable media. I can get into the advanced recovery options from there but it will not allow me to do anything (Rollback, Restore, Remove update) nothing works. This whole process is made even more difficult since there is no keyboard so you cannot just press F11 to get other options.
Is my Dell tablet now destined to forever be a paperweight? Is there any hope?
