This first started about 2-3 weeks ago.
We have been experiencing with some clients at our work. Where Desktop Icons (all of them) disappear from the clients desktop (mostly if they are remote)
They do not permanently disappear.
Sometimes if we Skype into the client pc, all their icons pop back up on the desktop.
Sometimes if we uncheck/check show desktop icons they pop back up on the desktop.
Sometimes if they do a restart the icons pop back up on the desktop.
They are never permanently gone. They are in their desktop folder in their user profile but do not show on the desktop.
It has not been model specific, Lenovo's and Dells.
It is not broken shortcuts that are disappearing/being removed. Office Docs, folders etc..
It is not the system Maintenance troubleshooter, we have changed the settings and even disabled it.
Updated the BIOS on the devices, uninstalled and reinstalled graphic drivers, chipset drivers etc.
Did malware and virus scans. We have checked to see if there is a "ghost" monitor in Display/screen resolution.
Has anyone else seen an issue like this?
