Hi. I am trying to install/check/update the DirectX installed on my Windows 7 PC using the 'directx_Jun2010_redist' install files as downloaded from Microsoft. However it fails to complete, and produces 193 "%1 is not a valid Win32 application" error.
I have tried clean booting, running System File Checker, running disk cleanup, etc. all with no improvement on this problem.
I currently have DirectX 11 installed, according to the DX diagnostic tool.
What put me onto checking the DirectX install was attempting to install Hitfilm 2017 video editor; it fails to install during the DirectX configuration.
Thanks, Chris
