When you move the cursor over an application window item in the taskbar, after a few seconds, a little yellow tooltip/infotip/pop-up fades into view and then fades out after about 5 seconds. (The role of infotip is to show the full name of the application window if it is truncated).
I need to have the taskbar on the left of the screen and what happens is that whenever I select a new window on the taskbar, the tooltip appears and covers an important part of the application I'm using for 5 seconds. This is something I do literally hundreds of times a day and it adds up to a lot of frustration.
Note that disabling "Show popup descriptions for folder and desktop items" does NOT work. Editing the value in registry directly also doesn't work.
Also If I can't disable it, I could live with having it show for less time.
