As the title suggests, I am unable to disable checkboxes on desktop shortcuts. I have tried all three methods listed1. File Explorer > View > Show > Item Check Boxes2. File Explorer > ... > Options > View > Use checkboxes to select items3. Registry Editing set value to 0I have restarted my computer (HP Pavilion), however this has not produced any change. In another help thread, someone on a touch screen device said that none of the tricks worked for them, and my laptop being touch screen leads me to believe that this is the case for touch screen devices.
