Windows 11 Discrepancy in SMS header between phone and desktop

I linked my windows 11 desktop and my android phone. Text messages received from a business entity are shown in the desktop as coming from an 8 digit number whereas they are shown in the format XY-ABCDE in the phone. What is the reason?
