Windows 11 Does anyone know what is happening with the yellow brown file box icons on the bottom left corner of the program icon? I can't open or attach the file

I use Windows 11. Today I noticed on some of my files in file explorer have a yellow brown file box folder in the bottom left corner of the program icon (pdf, word, excel) and when I try to open one of those files with a double click of the mouse or right click and ask to open it will not. Similarily if I am trying to attach one of those files to an email it won't let me. Does not even show that the file can be open. I have been able to go to adobe for example and through the program open the file. I notice that several people are now having issues. Here is an example:
