Windows 11 Does the virus still persist even after the laptop is factory reset?

Recently I factory reset my laptop because I thought there was some virus in it but I mostly don't install any malware app, I download all apps from trusted sources.Can someone tell me if viruses still remain in the laptop even after factory reset because I did not take any backup or anythingCan someone tell me if viruses still remain in the laptop even after factory reset because I did not take any backup or anything
