Windows 11 Drive keeps getting disconnected

I have a new Dell XPS 8950 that has several issues. One of these is that one of my drives often disconnects and I cannot access any of the data. This is a drive specifically for my photographs. Some times while working on a photo within an app, I go to save some edits and I can't because the drive cannot be accessed. Sometimes a reboot fixes things, sometimes not.Dell has been extremely unhelpful and says it's not their problem. The computer is only about 2 months old.Any suggestions? I've tried to search within Microsoft and Dell but come up with nothing.Thanks.
