I have a Dell laptop with Windows 10 Home installed. I also have a Windows 10 Pro license with the USB stick provided. I'm trying to dual boot Windows Home and a new Windows Pro install so I can configure the Windows Pro specifically for audio post production.
I have resized the C drive creating 200GB of unallocated space. When I reboot with the USB drive and start the Windows Pro install it doesn't see this partition, nor anything at all when using the Custom install option. Using shift F10 to open the terminal and run DISKPART no disks are listed when running 'list disk'.
The laptop is new. The Windows 10 Pro box is a few years old.
How can I get the Windows 10 Pro install to recognize the disk? Once installed will the install recognize the 2 installation and give me an OS choice on boot?
