My laptop mode no. is VPCEH25EN (sony vaio) i have win 7 ultimate installed (done clean install after getting BSOD) . MY dvd drive (tsstcorp TS-L633F) is not working properly. It gets ejected automatically (1-2 times a day), it is also does not read any disks. It's button won't work. I use a "U-PIN" to open the DVD tray.

What i have tried:-

-Reinstalling driver(both dvd driver and ATA channel 3 driver)

-Messing with registry. (learned from google)

-Cleaning dvd drive lens with a "MicroFiber cloth" .

-Changing Boot order.

Note:-

- I dont have any cd/dvd burning software.

- I also checked Event Viewer, but did not find any problem related to dvd drive.

-The drive used to work sometimes before the clean install of win 7. But now it does not even detect any disks.

-When i press enter when selecting the dvd drive, it does not eject by itself, i have to manually open it with "U-PIN".

-For now, i have disabled ATA Channel 3 driver and the dvd driver.

-I have tried Music cds, game cds but none of them are detected.

Pls help me.I think its a software problem as the guy who had done the clean install, had used the dvd drive to install win. And it worked there.
