Windows 10 Error with installing .NET Framework 4.0 on Windows 10.

I am trying to install .NET Framework 4.0 on Windows10. It gives me pop-up saying it is already included in the operating system or higher version is installed. I need version 4.0 only. Is there a way to downgrade the .NET Framework version?
