For a few months now, my Internet connection hasn't been working. The Ipv4 connection works but the Ipv6 doesn't and I know that it should as it has in the past.
I know the problem lies with the PC as I've tried plugging the ethernet cable into an older PC and that was able to work A-ok. There's no physical problem, its all normal.
There's no anti-virus on the computer (no viruses either), i've disabled Windows firewall. To see if any solutions I find work I try to install Google Chrome, which gives me the error, "Unable to connect to the internet. if you use a firewall please white list googleupdate.exe"
When I go into Network and Sharing, click Local Area Connection, ipv4 connectivity has internet access but ipv6 doesn't. Both are set to obtain their ip automatically.
Here's the cmd if anyone can spot anything wrong with it:
Windows IP Configuration
Host Name: Marnie-PC
Primary Dns Suffix:
Node Type: Hybrid
Ip Routing Enabled: Yes
WINS Proxy Enabled: No
DNS suffix Search List: Lan
Ethernet adapter LAC:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix: Lan
Description: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Physical Address: 6C-62-6D-E5-3D-9B
DHCP Enabled: Yes
Auto configuration Enabled: Yes
Link-Local IPv6 Address: fe80::349b:fdd1:cc0f:4387%13<Preferred>
IPv4 Address: 10.1.1.250 <Preferred>
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 10.1.1.4
DHCP Server: 10.1.1.4
DHCPv6 IAID: 342647405
DHCPv6 Client DUID: 00-01-00-01-1C-F9-F7-6D-6C-62-6D-E5-3D-9B
DNS Servers: 10.1.1.4
NetBIOS over Tcpip: Enabled
Tunnel adapter isatap.lan: disconnected
Tunnel adapter 6TO4 Adapter: disconnected (this didn't show up until i enabled it just recently)
Tunnel adapter teredo: disconnected
When I go into my Gateway, everything seems normal except the DHCPv6 connection which has done nothing but "stasus: connecting" for ages. It should be connected, I saw it connected a while ago before it all broke.
Would love any suggestions on how to fix this. Thanks.
