Windows 11 Ethernet connects PC to internet fine but just has the same speeds as wireless

So wireless, speed is on average 500 - 800 mbps, mostly about 700~ though. I got an Ethernet cable for my PC, a brand new Cat8 one. It connects my PC to the internet fine so it’s working on that front, but the speeds and such are the same as wireless and I don’t know if I’m just being stupid but shouldn’t it generally be faster? am I doing something wrong?

Windows 10 PC connects to 5Ghz home network but is really throttled. Laptop and phone connect to the same 5Ghz internet but with 8x the speed.
