Hello,
I am having a problem with a new external CD/DVD player I just bought. It came set for Region 2 but I need it to be set for Region 1. I have attempted to change it in Device Manager, and I get the following error: "Please make sure the drive contains a region 1 media and you have administration privilege." The player has 4 region changes left.
I have tried inserting several Region 1 CDs and get the same error. I opened the Device Manger with the Windows Powershell (admin), and no luck. I have tried updating the drivers, and uninstalling and reinstalling the player. Same error. Does anyone know how I can get past this error? I've searched the forums here and while there are some similar posts none of them seem to help me.
I am using Windows 10 on an Acer N18C3 laptop.
The CD/DVD player is a Rooful ECD819-SU3.
Thank you,
-Tom
