Windows 11 external displays not working?

All of the sudden my laptop (Lenovo thinkpad) won't recognize any external displays. Have tried a few monitors, tv's, ect. I hvae also tried using the USB-C connection for a small monitor I had, that also does not work so I don't believe it's the HDMI port or anything. What steps do I need to take to fix this? It seems uninstalling the display adapter > Intel UHD graphics driver and then reinstall it? I'm not the most computer literate, will my screen stop working if I do that?..
