Windows 10 Failure in creating a directory on the backup storage location (Windows 10)

I am not able to save a system image to my external hard drive. This is the message: "The backup failed. There was a failure in creating a directory on the backup storage location(0x8078014B). Additional Information: This indicates that a notify change request has been completed due to closing the handle which made the notify change request.(0x8007010B). As I have no tech background, I am at a loss as to how to resolve this problem.
