Last July, some fraudster somewhere purchased a handful of Microsoft Store gift cards online using my stored MS payment method. The card issuer rejected my fraud report and told me that I 'authorized' this (which I did not). I guess the criminal got into my MS account somehow. There doesn't seem to be anything more I can do about it so now I am just out the money. Microsoft is the only site where this has happened to me in 35-ish years of online activity, so I thought I would pass this along to warn people that strong passwords don't have a perfect track record.
