Windows 10 File Explorer directory not displaying files in chosen Sort Order

Windows 10 Pro, 22H2, 19045.4529, NTFS I am attaching a picture of a Windows File Explorer directory that should be displayed in Name Ascending order but as you can see it is clearly not in Name Ascending order. This also happens with other directories (but certainly not all) and I don't see any commonality between the directories. They are typically directories of jpg images that I use with other apps. The problem is that if I bring up the directory in the pic in another program like ViewNX (Nikon app), ViewNX will display the thumbnails in Name Ascending order but if I step thru the image
